Partner Letter June 2011
Dear Partner
We have been meditating on the last words that Jesus spoke before He gave His life for us on the cross as recorded by John 19:30,
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
IT IS FINISHED!
What was finished? We know that Jesus was saying that all that He came to the earth to do was accomplished. And in His fulfilling the plan of God, The Blessing was re-established and made available for all who would believe. No matter what the enemy had tried to do to stop the work of God, Jesus defeated it on that cross.
In our last two letters, amongst many things accomplished, we first saw that The Curse of the Law was finished (Galatians 3:13-14).
Say it out loud, “It Is Finished… I am BLESSED!”
The second thing we know is finished is death (2 Timothy 1:9-10, John 11:26).
Say out loud, “It is Finished… I LIVE for eternity”
And the third thing we saw was finished is sickness (1 Peter 2:24).
Shout it out, “It is Finished… I AM HEALED!”
The fourth thing that Jesus defeated on the cross was poverty (say, “It is Finished!”)
Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 8:9,
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
This is not just spiritually. The words used in the original text speak of material provision. God never intended for man to suffer and struggle under the curse of poverty!
In fact, fact the word tells us in Proverbs 10:15 that,
The rich man's wealth is his strong city; the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
Poverty destroys! It’s that simple. And Jesus destroyed poverty on the cross. Hallelujah! Believe it and receive it.
God has given us so many promises like Philippians 4:19,
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Shout out loud, “It is Finished… I AM FULLY PROVIDED”
Next we thing we see finished is shame & injustice (declare, “It is Finished!”)
We read in 1 Peter 2:6,
Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, "Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame."
And again in Romans 10:11,
For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."
Refuse the lies of the enemy. Accept the cleansing blood of Jesus. No matter what has happened, you have been set free from anything in the past that may have caused shame, and no one can ever put that shame on you again.
Say it loud, say it bold, “It is Finished… I AM FREE FROM SHAME!”
Remember to meditate on each point and by faith receive them as realities for you. Step into and enjoy your “It is Finished”.
Next month we will have a look at another two things that Jesus considers FINISHED.
Janine and I love you and pray for you every day.
You are Blessed!!
Jesus is Lord,
