Partner Letter September 2011

Dear Partner

Moments before He left this earth and ascended back to heaven, Jesus was speaking to His disciples.  And it is very interesting that out of all the things He could have said to them as His parting words; He chose these as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20,

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Out of everything that you and I learn and do in and for the Kingdom of God, this is our primary responsibility.  In other words, if I teach the Word of God, it is with the intention of making disciples.  If someone has an outreach to feed the poor, it is with the intention of making disciples.  A professional man goes about his business with the intention and purpose of making disciples.

This world is crying out for answers!  All around us we can see financial calamity, sicknesses and diseases, disasters and famine, destruction and wars.  It is easy for a Christian to get distracted and caught up in the fear of what is going on.

Jesus said in John 14:6,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Jesus wants to help this world with the answers that they are looking for.  He is The Provider, The Healer, The Deliverer, The Protector.  And the way that He has chosen to reach those in need is through you and me!  What an honour and privilege!

To do this, firstly, we receive and believe that He is with us always.  He is building His church… and we get to do it together with Him!

Secondly, we choose to believe His Word remembering 2 Corinthians 4:18,

“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Paul tells us that the things that we see around us are temporary.  Temporary also implies, ‘subject to change’.  Praise Jesus!

That doctor’s bad report… it is subject to change.  Without a job?  The situation is subject to change.  Aren’t you glad that your bank balance is subject to change?

How do we change our situation?  We choose The Blessing.  Read and hear the Word of God and then ask, receive and walk in that Word knowing that it is done (Romans 10:17, Mark 11:23-24).

Thirdly, we sow seed for the preaching of the Word of God.  Jesus said in Mark 4:14,
“The sower sows the word.”

Our giving enables the preaching of the Good News.

And fourthly, to reach this world with the Gospel of Jesus, WE TELL OTHERS OF HIS GOODNESS!

This is my passion and drive of this ministry.  To equip believers like you with the Word of God enabling each and every person to reach their full potential in Christ.  Read the Word of God, study, listen to CD’s and fill yourself with the Word.

Then, when you come across someone who is struggling, hurting or lost, you can share the good news with them.  Lead them to Jesus and begin teaching them everything you have learnt from your Lord.

And so, together, we carry out the Great Commission of our Lord and Saviour.

We are partners together in the Greatest Holy Spirit team, the Kingdom of God!  We are praying for you every day!

Jesus is Lord,
